This book is the result of the collective work of 20 lecturers from 13 Spanish universities who share a common commitment: open, collaborative teaching with real social impact. In their classrooms, Wikimedia projects (Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, OpenStreetMap) become learning spaces where students develop key 21st-century competences, from critical thinking to digital literacy. By editing and sharing knowledge on global platforms, students discover that their academic work goes beyond the classroom and contributes to the common good. The publication brings together real experiences and methodologies, showing how to integrate the Wikimedia ecosystem into university teaching. It is also an invitation to experiment, to build networks, and to join efforts towards a more open, connected, and socially engaged education.
